Hassan Marican, Under scrutiny and Under Pressure

ONE of Tun Mahathir's true blue eyed boy of all time, the current economic advisor to the Prime Minister is being placed under scrutiny and under pressure by a mouth piece owned by Syed Mokthar Al Bukhary.

THE Malaysian Reserve is known for its strong support for  Dr Mahathir,  buy even then,  it  surprised me a bit that they would go against Mohd Hassan Marican, the former president and ceo of Petronas.

I am afraid, the Malaysian Reserve piece penned by my friend, the paper's corporate editor Habhajan Singh, is merely a curtain raiser of what is in store for Hassan Marican, if the guy were to inform Malaysians on what really took place here sometime between 1987 and 1988.

AND what I did not mention in that posting is that apart from the two LNG vessels that MISC had bought from Konsortium Perkapalan, the rest of the eight to ten ships were worthless single hull vessels, that the global industry was starting to phase out.

IT really, does not matter anymore if Hassan Marican opens his mouth or not because there must documented trail on how the entire acquisition process took place.

AND if those documents are not sitting where it should be sitting then we must rightfully assume that a crime had taken place, and call in the police to investigate.

WHY assume a crime may have taken place?  Because the true value of the deal between Konsortium Logistik and MISC is much more than was reported back then, as it did not state that MISC may have to fork out up to nearly RM500 million a year in interest to service a RM1.3 billion loan.
