IS the Penang Deputy Chief Minister P Ramasamy correct about the number on non bumi in the civil service, not reflecting the racial composition of this country ? HE IS ABSOLUTELY correct.
BUT he is wrong on so many other counts.

WE all lie, but the numbers do not lie. The numbers only state the realities on the ground. And what do those numbers state?
WELL for one, the numbers state that READ : Only 10 per cent of the civil service is made up on non BUMIPUTERA citizens.
DATA from 2010 to 2015, will shock you. The ethnic race who got hired the most following an interview for a Government job was the Chinese with a 56 per cent success rate, followed by Indians with a 39 per cent success rate and only then the Malays with a 22.7 per cent success rate.
SHOULD the Government do more to attract non Bumis into the civil service? Absolutely YES. But should the Government offer better incentives for them to join the civil service? Absolutely NO, except perhaps for the Orang Asli people, the natives of this land .
