While there is a clamour for labour, especially foreign labour in Malaysia, there is growing discontent that Malaysians are being discriminated in their own country when they seek low paying jobs.
This is especially true in the spawning guest house business, while it is believed that retail outlets such as KK Mart have an unofficial policy of not hiring Malaysians for front line jobs according to those who had sought such jobs.
