Bursa Malaysia, Jatuh Tangga Ditimpa Wahid Omar

BURSA Malaysia now is at its peak level in well over 18 months with a market capitalisation of RM1.85 trillion, but there seems to be not much joyful banter from retail investors.

AGAINST, this backdrop retail investors have been put in a spot, as the Malay saying goes ; Jatuh Tangga ditimpa Wahid Omar.

BURSA Malaysia under Wahid Omar doesn't seem to have learned anything from its past OVERSIGHTS.

TAKE for instance the trading in PAS favourite son , Widad Group Bhd, where trading is restricted on a cash up front basis only.

FOR the past two trading days, it was the top traded stock in the entire Malaysian stock universe, posting some heavy gains despite the group CEO and the major shareholder having their shares foresold in the open market.

SO who has been trading on the Widad Group shares like crazy? Isn't the exchange even curious to know or  would it rather have a cock stand the KLCI is at its highesr level in 18 months, closing at 1504.10 points.

IF this is indeed the case, then I suggest the folks at  Bursa Malaysia look at the chart above generated by themselves where it shows clearly that even the day to day trading value, is falling like ninepins or by some 12.85 per cent to RM2.96 billion.

DAY on day, trading volume is down by a staggering 9.23 per cent to 4.9 billion.
