Notice how, since December 16, there has been very little soundbites from lawmakers from both sides of the political divide, that Digital Nasional Bhd is a bad idea.
Notice also since December 16, despite the lack of sound bites those who oppose the Government plan which guarantees that consumers will pay less for 5G than the current 4G managed by the telcos, certain politicians from both sides of the divide still want the game plan changed.
Digital Nasional briefed members of Parliment who we elected to be our voice, though for reasons best known to them, some insist on being the voice of telcos, and not the masses.
At the briefing, they were told under Digital Nasional Bhd's securitisation model, workable only if they are the sole 5G provider, the Government will bear zero debt, be able to connect rural Malaysia faster without looking at commercial concerns, and consumers will get faster speed at a lower cost.
The silence is deafening with so far none of the politicians who have banged Digital Nasional Bhd, have taken up the challenge to give the rakyat a guarantee that if we have more than one 5G provider consumers will pay less for more and how much is that less?
