Ringgit. Panic

Is the 1986 monster hit by the Smiths, taken from the album rank.

It's time to PANIC, because the sound bites from the mainstream media is utterly confusing.

We have the Star today, saying that 2017 is going to be a hard year for the Ringgit , citing the World Bank, and Bernama today saying don't PANIC, the Ringgit will bounce back.

This is the same Bernama which told us just weeks ago, that we should sit back and relax, the Ringgit should be trading at RM4.20 by January.

And French research house Société Générale saying that although the Ringgit is trading way off its moving averages, when higher oil prices are taken into consideration, and that there is only a ONE percent chance of the Ringgit, falling further, one should NOT buy the Ringgit.

When too many people, have to many different outlook on the same subject, that is the best  time, the subjects of this nation should consider to PANIC.

Ringgit Malaysia. Rupiah Indonesia. Seribu Tahun Takkan Mungkin

Is a 1988 Malaysian hit for Bumiputra Rockers.
Looking at the Ringgit Malaysia and Rupiah Indonesia exchange rates, many would have shouted out Seribu Tahun Takkan Mungkin.
BUT it's happening right in front of our eyes, with RM1000 now only fetching 2.991 million Rupiah, levels unseen in 30 years.
All these, doesn't bode well for the Ringgit, when it comes to play with the US Dollar

Christine Lagarde . Is it A Crime

Is a 1985 hit for Sade, from her second album called promises.

Believe it or not, the IMF is now run by a person who is negligent. Is it A CRIME to be negligent? I don't know, but in my books, being incompetent is CRIMINAL, especially if the amount is more than RM1 billion

Bloomberg has the story. Read below :

The International Monetary Fund’s executive board reiterated its backing for Christine Lagarde, indicating it supports the lender’s managing director despite her conviction for negligence by a French court. She said she won’t appeal and will continue to run the IMF.

“The Executive Board reaffirms its full confidence in the Managing Director’s ability to continue to effectively carry out her duties,” according to an IMF statement sent via e-mail on Monday. “The Executive Board looks forward to continuing to work with the Managing Director to address the difficult challenges facing the global economy.”

Lagarde was convicted of negligence earlier Monday for failing to overturn a 285-million euro ($296 million) payout to a businessman in an arbitration case while she was France’s finance minister nearly a decade ago. The 60-year-old IMF chief won’t face a fine or prison term, according to the judges on the Cour de Justice de la Republique, which specializes in ministerial misconduct.

Malaysia. Car Price. Up

Is the 2015 hit for Olly Murs and Demi Lovato.

WELL , I won't beat around the bush. Car prices are going to go UP next month by as much as 15 per cent due to the weak Ringgit.

The announcements should be out in about two weeks time, and it cannot come at a worst time for the auto industry .

After 2015's record sales, this year the total industry volume sales have dropped by more than 13 per cent to 515,293 units in the first 11 months of the year.

Ringgit Malaysia. Bloodstream

Is the 2015 monster hit by Ed Sheeran and Rudimental.

There was a *Bloodstream* yesterday when the Ringgit sank ringgit  to 4.4805 against the U.S. dollar, the lowest level since the 1998 Asian Financial Crisis.

Societe Generale,  now says the ringgit is starting to look really cheap as Malaysia is a net oil exporter .

With oil prices  surging 15 per cent since the landmark OPEC deal in November, the French bank estimates the Ringgit is  almost three standard deviations from its historical averages when benchmarked against oil prices.

Being almost three standard deviations from its average means any further weakness relative to oil would see the ringgit trading at levels that would be likely to occur less than *ONE PERCENT* of the time .

Vivocom Bhd. CIMB. Tetap Dalam Jiwa

Is a 2015 hit for West Jawa's Isyana Sarasvati from her second album entitled Explore.

Looks like the investment community are urging the Securities Commission to EXPLORE further the behind the scenes, story that led to the CIMB -Vivocom Saga.

Vivocom Tetap Dalam Jiwa, mereka yang terkilan, rugi ataupun sakit hati, with now questions being raised if Vivocom had bought certain assets at a grossly overpriced value.

This are all legitimate questions, but why keeping banging CIMB, when FELCRA and KFM is emerging as the biggest  Harry Houdini of the YEAR

Najib Razak. 1MDB. BASKET Case

Is a 1994 hit for Greenday from their third album called dookie .

The UK's Guardian has a story on Najib Razak, IMDB, and the anti corruption agency.

The report is a BASKET CASE of a report, as it claims that the British Embassy had Queried about the matter. But who did the British Embassy query, is Mysteriously not stated.

Was it the Malaysian Government, Tony Pua, Lim Kit Siang, My Cat, Your Dog, or the neighbours COW?  WHO!!!

Here is the Guardian story. Its a disgrace of a report. That's my opinion. You read and make your own conclusions. :

The British embassy in Kuala Lumpur has questioned a claim by the Malaysian prime minister, Najib Razak, that his country’s anti-graft agency had cleared him of corruption, according to a diplomatic cable seen by the Guardian.

Malaysia’s anti-corruption commission (MACC) said in August last year that its investigation had found that nearly US$700m had been deposited into Najib’s personal bank account from unnamed “donors”.

1MDB explainer

It did not elaborate on the donor or why they transferred funds to Najib’s private accounts but said the money was not from the debt-laden state fund 1MDB, which had been the focus of the scandal.

Five days later, Najib told members of his ruling party that the MACC had cleared him of corruption allegations.

But a diplomatic telegram sent to London from the British High Commission in the Malaysian capital suggested the embassy queried that claim.

“Najib announced the MACC had exonerated him of corruption and the funds in his bank account were a donation from the Middle East and not from 1MDB,” it said.

“There has been no official MACC statement to this effect.”

Opponents of Najib, who denies taking money for personal gain, say the funds may have originated from 1MDB but were laundered internationally. Malaysia’s attorney general said in January 2016 that the money was a gift from the Saudi Arabian government.

The UK has been criticised for not speaking out more firmly against one of the world’s biggest financial scandals. Former British prime minister David Cameron was chided for meeting Najib shortly after the story broke last July.

The British cable was released under a freedom of information request made by the Guardian but was heavily redacted to include mostly factual reporting of events in Malaysia.
