State of the nation : Dua Darjat

OMAR Rojik...mention  that name and 99 per cent of the time, you are going to  get a blank stare back. Mention P Ramlee and the 1960 Antara Dua Darjat movie, and I am confident, those who have never watch the movie, will tell you its a classic.

THE late Omar is the screenplay writer of the Semerah Padi and Antara Dua Darjat classics, who never received the applauds he should have but the works he left behind, has been immortalised forever. 

AS for P Ramlee, who acted and directed both classics, this nation now living in a different century, hasnt been able to heal those self inflicted wounds of pretending not to hear the cries of our very best men todate, when he was not at his best.

HEALING  perhaps, will only come if we ensure the message left by both men, whoes ability in writing and story telling were  ahead of their times in antara dua darjat, is received, and understood to the fullest .

WHEN  I checked in 2025, we still had no clue how dua darjat has evolved.  It's no longer about the Raja Raja Melayu and the common people as there ample court cases to prove it where those even very high up to the thrown wee found guilty 

DUA darjat is no longer between the rich man and the poor man as we both victims of corruption. It's not even about corrupt politicians and us, as we have an ex Prime Minister in Kajang Prison ..

I would most probably, call in the top ten organised crime in that specific area, such as the heads specialising in loan sharking,  drug peddling,  and extortion and tell them this might be your lucky day guys.

YOU just have to give a cheque,  which will not cash in and return to you if candidate A wins since he has won't for the past 3 decades..

BUT if candidate B wins, where the minimum and maximum amount must be RM1 million...each of you will get RM5 million each, cash.

AND then, I will leave it to the 10 gentlemen to do what they know to do best. 

 BUT why on earth would Victor Chin Boon Long be such a mean guy, considering READ : Anthony Loke in 2026 says he just happened to attend some functions where Victor Chin attended also.

State of the nation : Tabung Haji, Who is on Trial?

BEFORE, we can even touch on the on going Tabung Haji scandal estimated at RM13 billion, we should zero in on the man at the centre of the storm.

MEET Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, the used car salesman who used to wear gold until he was told that gold was not suitable attire for a male Muslim, who somehow eventually became the chairman of Tabung Haji.

I am not here to pronounce Abdul Azeeez Abdul Rahman innocent or even guilty because I feel that before we even contemplate bringing the man to court again, we should examine those who investigated the former UMNO Youth strongman.

THE judiciary let Abdul Azeeez go, because the investigators, that being the MACC couldn't find anything to nail him, on charges of receiving more than RM5 million in bribes, and also on money laundering charges. READ : A clean bill of health for the man from Baling.

WE should be asking ourself under what basis of proof, did the Attorney General's office use to initially charge Abdul Azeeez..did they jump the gun or merely wanted him as a punching bag because he is close to Najib Razak?
