WHAT does Mohamad Sabu, the 68 year old Agriculture Minister expect to achieve with his wayang kulit of a show   in Parliament yesterday.

READ : if Bernas makes a loss, it will not be able to share 30 per cent of expected profits with the paddy farmers, Mat Sabu alerts Parliament .

IS Mat Sabu playing hard ball with Anwar Ibrahim?  Mat Sabu should stop moonlighting as READ :  the self appointed NATIONAL APOLOGIST for Syed Mokthar, the 100 per cent owner of BERNAS.

MAT Sabu, is all ready walking on very dangerous ground. On October 4th 2023, I had written READ : that Mat Sabu Should be Removed as Agriculture Minister, as the guy can't even do basic maths.

A day latter, on October 5th 2023, the nation's top online news portal Free Malaysia Today echoed somewhat similar thoughts. READ : Move Mat Sabu out of agriculture and food security, PM told.

THE  Prime Minister should really do it, because Mat Sabu , smells, looks and talks  like a men representing Bernas and NOT THE PEOPLE OF MALAYSIA in Parliament. 

THE Agriculture Minister, based on the text of his speech in the auspicious House which was forwarded to me, took the pain to go that extra mile in attempting to portray Bernas in a fairytale light  by stating ; Harga beras putih global mencatatkan peningkatan sebanyak 63% dalam tempoh setahun, iaitu daripada USD400 per tan metrik pada Ogos 2022 kepada USD650 per tan metrik pada Ogos 2023.

THE figures are indeed accurate,  but it paints a false picture, that prices were up throughout the year. 

CONSIDER, the following, Thailand 5% Broken Rice Price was actually trading up to June 2023, some US$3 lower than the January value of US$517 per tonne.

PRICES only started rising on July and August and from September onwards the prices have started to come down.

NOW look what our neighbours Indonesia, which is rice self sufficient these days were doing on June 2023. READ : Indonesia's trade Minister officially signs strategic Rice agreement to import one million tonnes of Rice from India.

THE Government to Government  agreement was signed well before READ : India banned export of Rice in August.

SO what was Bernas doing in June? Shaking legs, having a good time with the RM600 million  yearly tax payer money which it swallows to pretend to manage our rice needs.

WE don't have to be Albert Einstein to figure out that Bernas is in a mess how, because instead of making  forward purchases, it is actually getting supply from the spot market.

OF course, the snow white like BERNAS, can count it's lucky starts, that a kind hearted soul, dig deep into his or her own pocket  READ : to finance a public relation campaign mostly on Tik Tok, with deception and malafide claims, which ultimately has benefitted only BERNAS.

AS early as August 16 2023, I had spelled it out, that Bernas end game, would be to embarrass  the Prime Minister over the 30 per cent profit distribution to the farmers. 

READ : NOW anyone who is managing his own business or even managing a large company, can tell you this much a profit or loss is a mere accounting entry which the ownership of a company often will use to their advantage.

WE should not feign ignorance that such an end game in play now is even possible.

READ : the RM195 million Syed Mokthar had given Muhyiddin Yassin's Bersatu  76 days after the Bernas concession was extended by the Muhyiddin Yassin administration, with all intent and purpose has made the billionaire from Kedah the ultimate. single largest political funder of Bersatu.

ANWAR Ibrahim, can reset Malaysia for the better by keeping the paddy and dumping the  grass.

Will the lead player of the Paddy Cartel, Please Stand Up

WHY won't the Kedah Menteri Besar Mohd Sanusi Md Nor,  reveal to the nation who leads the paddy cartel?

IF rice millers are the Cartel, then let it be known that READ : As at 2020, Bernas controls 48 per cent market share of rice mill business.

AFTER reading Malaysia Kini today, I am puzzled why politicians and paddy farmers are not telling us who is the big boss of the paddy cartel.

IS it the good samaritian called Bernas or is it the 1000 odd rice millers with collectively contribute 52 per cent to the rice mill business  market share. If it is the 52 per cent market share owners, then I must say , they have some serious mental issues.

MALAYSIA KINI reports the following, but allow me to put it in point form.

1) Arahan Ketua Pengarah Kawal Selia Padi dan Beras Azman Mahmood pada September, yang dalam pertemuan dengan pemain industri didakwa mengarahkan Bernas membeli padi daripada petani pada harga RM1,600 setan metrik.

SO,  basically what we have here is allegations that Bernas was told to buy the paddy at RM1,600 but the above statement is followed by

2) Jadi adakah pihak berkuasa tunduk kepada (tuntutan daripada) kartel padi?

MY question is, why on earth will the supposedly not Bernas included paddy cartel bother two hoots if Bernas were instructed to make the purchase at RM1,600 a tonne?

ARE we to believe that the paddy cartel , does not know how to mind its own business and is insistant that it will act as Bernas guardian angel?

COMMONLAH....

Eddie Ng Chee Siong, Sweet Dreams Are Made of This....

ANNUS horribilis might well be the best description for what increasingly looks likely to be in store for former Revenue Group Chairman Eddie Ng Chee Siong in 2024.

CHILL, the tax man and the bankers chasing for loans taken to leverage on properties, are the least of the worries.

NEITHER will the false narrative that Revenue Group will benefit more than any other players from READ : Duitnow QR code payment to Paynet Sdn Bhd, be the reason why, it could all go wrong for Eddie Ng Chee Siong in 2024.

INTERESTINGLY,  this is the second time in a span of three years, a company in which Eddie Ng Chee Siong was a dominant stakeholder, has ended up in the bad books of MACC.

IN 2020, Eddie Ng Chee Siong READ : sold of his entire 23.86 per cent stake in Goodway Integrated Industries Bhd.

INTERESTINGLY, Lim Kok Han emerged in May this year with an 18 per cent stake in GIIB, and READ : by June the company's chairman was being probed by the anti corruption. agency.

LIM Kok Han and Francis Leong Seng Wui were dominant shareholders of Greenpacket, before they sold off their stakes. 

LOOKs like Eddie Ng Chee Siong may have known all these personalities for a much longer period than initially thought.

THIS is where the taxman and bankers, could put Eddie in a really tight spot....I am not at liberty to explain now, but shall at a latter date.

SOMETIME on February  23 this year, I had raised the possibility that some of the commisions earned from the Muhyiddin Yassin led Government's deal with Goldman Sachs, may have found its way into I Serve OnLine Mall. 

IN the above mentioned blog posting , I highlighted  READ : Anywhere between RM118 million and RM800 million could have exchanged hands to give Goldman Sachs a sweet deal.

SUBSEQUENTLY on the 2nd of September 2023, I added READ : some of the money in the kitty of I Serve Online, a unit controlled by Allan Goh Hwan Hua, may have been channeled by a certain political party for loan sharking purposes, to set an airline as well as to aid the Corporate Mafia.

The Indian Government's Wake Up Call To Putrajaya on Bernas.

GONE unnoticed amidst our sudden obsession with rice is apparently a piece of advice  by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India rulling Government to Malaysia, which in a free market must surely be a death blow to Bernas.

THE Indian Government's wish on this matter came approximately 72 hours, after I had raised on Sept 26 2023 the following question. 

READ : NOW how many of us even remotely believe that the CEO of Bernas on even its owner Syed Mokthar can get the Prime Minister, of the first country to land near the south pole of the Moon, a nation with 164 active nuclear war heads capable of destroying almost all life forms on planet Earth , on the phone to get a rice exemption for Malaysia?

BY Sept 29 2023, what we want to believe or not believe in, became redundant because READ :The Indian Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) has sent representatives to discuss the issue on a government-to-government (G2G) basis, says Mat Sabu.

SO why does the Indian Government want this to be a Government  to Government  thing and not a Indian Government to Bernas thing?

THE purely RICE related reasons are, among the major cereals commonly consumed, Rice is the most thinly traded commodity and rice growing nations and rice consuming nations, have one thing in common, thier population are growing.

SO  basically, regardless of the price, Rice is seen as a strategic commodity whereby the producing countries can choose not to export them out because their home market can actually absorb any excess production.

THEREFORE, we have to live with the fact that in our immediate future, Malaysia being able to get constant and consistent supply of rice will not only depend on our Agriculture Minister's planning capabilities but also on how likeable our foreign minister is.

NOTICE, the odd man out here? The Indians want to talk with our Government  and at no time did they say bring along Bernas.  

WHY is that so, MALAYSIA????? The anwser is there for all to see, Bernas making hay in the sun time is over. The company has become redundant and a burden to tax payers in the new dynamics of international rice politics. And that Malaysia, is the BOTTOMLINE.

BERSATU is finished, Cause Anwar Ibrahim has nuclear options

ANWAR Ibrahim has a nuclear option that can finish off Bersatu, the political entity co headed by Muhyiddin Yassin and Hamzah Zainuddin. 

ELSEWHERE,  the individual who was supposed to make Bersatu, a trinity of some sort, Azmin Ali was busy READ : attempting to blow the pipes of peace with a non committal unity Government.

SO what has happened in the past 48 hours which has reshaped the politics of Malaysia and brought down the opposition pact to a group of ONE,  namely PAS.

MEET,  Anwar Ibrahim's  nuclear option ; Roger Ng. Yes the same Roger Ng, the ex Goldman Sachs banker READ : who will now be making the trip back home to Malaysia.

THE return of Roger Ng, itself is a big deal, as the Americans initially wanted him to serve his jail term in the USA, but apparently our Prime Minister not only has good friends in Beijing but in Capitol Hill as well.

R0GER Ng's return will definitely  worry the powerful American banker Goldman Sachs READ : who had been attempting to take Malaysia to the dry cleaner over 1MDB for the third time.

MCA kau bodoh ke?

DO i like Rafizi Ramli? NOT really. IS it something personal? No lah, its mostly got to do in the manner he carries himself plus some of his ideas are down right stupid.

SHOULD we then listen to MCA  READ : Who wants Rafizi to be sacked as Economic Minister?.

MOREOVER, slamming Rafizi Ramli is a short cut to gain popularity and to get noticied by the general public in a speedier manner. VIEW : MCA sindir Rafizi yang dulu tolak GST, tapi kini sokong pula

SO should Rafizi Ramli be booted out and shamed in a cabinet reshuffle? HELL NO.

WHY is that so? WELL because in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king, that is why we should keep Rafizi Ramli and allow him to continue for the time being.

SO what are the mitigating reasons to keep Rafizi Ramli in office for the time being? Well the dude, for all his short comings, seems to be the only Minister remotely interested in READ : putting an end to the approved permit business which made all types of goods from rice to automobiles more expensive for the Malaysian consumer.
