MAKING its rounds on Tik Tok now  is a clip highlighting Johari Abdul Ghani suggesting that Felda should exit the sugar business.  VIEW : Johari Abdul Ghani, Felda should not be in the sugar business.

THE Edge had accurately reported last year  READ : that Syed Mokthar had made a bid for MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd.

MSM Holdings Bhd READ :controls some 60 per cent of the domestic sugar market. The company, itself is READ : 40.03 per cent owner by FGV Sugar Sdn Bhd, which in turn is owned by Felda.

NOW, what the Edge report did not tell us, is that the entire deal for Syed Mokthar's play to be the new sugar king of Malaysia, also involves his surrender of PADI Beras Nasional Bhd or BERNAS which has the sole concession to import rice.

NOW,  the question Anwar Ibrahim should be asking himself is how would it look like for the Unity Government in terms of public perception if the Felda's stake in sold to READ : the Agriculture Culture and Commodities Minister's FRIEND?

ALTHOUGH, Johari Abdul Ghani, claims he is only friends with Syed Mokthar, the link above does show that the duo do have a lot of common interest.
