Crude Oil. Sheikh Vs Shale. Sultans Of Swing

Is the 1979 hit single from Dire Straits, taken from the British rock band's debut album.

Looks like the biggest sultan's of swing when it comes to crude oil prices is going to be the shale oil producers in the USA.

The Sheikh's are going to get their backside bitten, if they thought cutting oil out put is going to solve their problems .

Reuters has the story. Read below :

Oil prices slipped on Friday, extending losses after data suggested drilling is ramping up in the United States, prompting investor concern about how effective OPEC and other producers will be at supporting prices by cutting supplies.

U.S. crude CLc1 futures for March delivery settled down 61 cents, or 1.1 percent, at $53.17 a barrel.

Brent was down 72 cents at $55.52 a barrel.

The U.S. weekly oil and gas rig count from Baker Hughes showed that U.S. drillers added 15 oil rigs in the week, the 12th gain in 13 weeks. That brought the total count to 566, the most since November 2015. [RIG/U]

"We’re in a holding pattern at this point in time," said Mark Watkins, regional investment manager at U.S. Bank Private Client Group. "Supply is a big factor right now and you have the U.S. really filling that gap that OPEC has left open."

Bernama. Ringgit Malaysia. Keliru

Is the 2002 hit for Ruth Sahanaya, taken from her greatest hit album.

I say man, BERNAMA you told us back in November 2016, to RELAX, and come January 2017, the Ringgit against the US Dollar will be 4.20. That never happened.

NAMPAKnya, sekarang BERNAMA sudah KELIRU, atau SENGAJA menipu untuk melindungi BONTOTnya.

BERNAMA which now says, it really doesn't know how the Ringgit will trade against the dollar, deliberately MIS informs it's readers that the RINGGIT had traded as low as 4.49 this week. This never happened either. The Ringgit is 4.43 and was trading between 4 .42 and 4.46.(figures rounded up)

Read this shameful report from Bernama Below :

The ringgit is expected to see cautious trading against the US dollar next week with investors wary over US President Donald Trump's economic policies, said an analyst.

FXTM Vice President of Corporate Development and Market Research Jameel Ahmad said currencies, including the ringgit, had been on recovery mode following another round of investors unwinding their positions on the greenback.

"As long as the US dollar continues to weaken in line with Trump’s comments that the US dollar is overvalued, the ringgit can continue to slowly recover," he told Bernama.

Another dealer said the market would also be sensitive to the US gross domestic product fourth quarter data released on Friday.

For the week just ended, the ringgit moved between 4.4260 and 4.4980 against the US dollar as the market is adjusting to Trump's policies.

Jordan Belfort. The Real Wolf Of Wall Street. Writting On The Wall

Is a 2007 monster hit from 2-4 Grooves. John Belfort, the real wolf of wall Street, speaks about 1MDB to FINEWS.COM.

The writing is on the wall, with what the real wolf of wall Street has to say. Read below:

What happened after that with Red Granite, the production firm allegedly bankrolled by 1MBD?

So then the movie goes into production and I’m spending a lot of time with Leo and these guys wanted to meet me for dinner and they wanted me to go to Vegas with Leo. They offered me money and everything to go to Vegas. A lot of money. Like $500,000, which I really could’ve used. I was like, ‚I can’t do it‘. Leo went, Margo (Margo Robbie, «Wolf» co-star) went.

I refused to go. And because of that I’m not mentioned in the articles. I’ve learned my lesson. It’s all Red Granite. They tried to offer me money and give me things, I never even spoke to these guys. I was like, 'I don’t need these fucking people.' I knew it, it was so obvious.

Dow Jones. 1954. Mi Heroe

Is the current chart topping hit in Spain, from Antonio Orozco.

CNBC has an interesting article on valuations versus technicals, tracing way back as 1954.

Whatever your pick is, the Dow Jones crossing the 20k level, has set off a "Mi Heroe" mentality among traders. Read the story below :

A quarter of a century after the great market crash of 1929, the Dow Jones industrial average finally broke above the highs of that portentous year. And what happened next could provide a roadmap for what stocks are set to do in the years ahead, according to technical analyst Matt Maley.

Late in 1929, the Dow fell devastatingly from its 380-and-change September 1929 peak, which in hindsight marked the top of an epic bubble. It wasn't until late 1954 that the Dow finally rose back above that high-water mark. The Dow left 380 in the dust, getting within spitting distance of 1,000 by February 1966.

Maley, technical analyst and equity strategist at Miller Tabak, says there's a modern analogue: The turn-of-the-millennium dotcom bubble, which in March 2000 led the Nasdaq 100 to touch a level it wouldn't surpass until late 2016. The tech-dominated index has already seen a substantial rise since hitting a record high, but the historical precedent set by the Dow could suggest that the rally has serious legs.

"The ridiculous bubble top in 2000 … was very similar to the crazy bubble top that took place in the DJIA in 1929," Maley wrote in an email Thursday to CNBC. Based on the post-1954 performance of the Dow, the Nasdaq 100's "post-break rally is [its] infancy (the first inning) and if it is anything like the breakout in the DJIA back in the 1950s, it still has a long way to go," he concluded.

For that reason, Maley would suggest that those bullish on stocks buy the popular ETF tracking the Nasdaq 100, the QQQ, rather than the SPY ETF, which tracks the S&P 500.

In addition to his longer-term thesis, Maley notes that the QQQ has broken above its recent range "much more significantly" than has the SPY, which means it has a better chance of "bottoming above its old range."

Both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 hit record highs in Thursday trading.

However, taking a fundamental tact, Chad Morganlander of Washington Crossing Advisors says investors are better off turning to the S&P 500

"Go long the S&P 500 for a more consistent, less volatile return in 2017," Morganlander advised on Thursday on CNBC's "Power Lunch."

Not only does the SPY tend to be less volatile than the QQQ, but at about 18 times forward earnings, the S&P 500 finds itself at a more attractive valuation than the Nasdaq 100, which is trading at nearly 20 times (according to numbers from S&P Capital IQ).

"Valuations do matter," Morganlander said.

East Spring Investment Bhd . Ganja Gun Song

Is banned in Malaysia, the massive hit for Reggae God, Bob Marley.
The Sun has an article today quoting  Rudie Chan, the CEO of East Spring Investment Bhd as saying the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement, being dead without Donald Trump's America, won't have an effect on Malaysia.
If Rudie Chan is correct , then why is it Malaysia fought so hard to be part of this TPPA pact, even to the extend of getting it sanctioned in parliament in record time?
Rudie Chan, I fear is not correct but merely TALKING KONEK. With that, Rudie Chan, deserves a Ganja Gun!!!! Ha ha ha ha :)

20,068.51. Bat Out Of Hell

Is the 1977 hit single that was re released again in 1979 and 1997,  becoming massive hits, each time for Meat Loaf, the front man of superstar rock group, Bad Company.

The Dow Jones, closed at a record  20,068.51 points today,  as the smoking red hot bulls pushed hard from the word go, for a150 point gain.
It was a historic game, that saw the Dow, cross the 20k mark for the first time, and end above the 20k mark, also for the first time in history, as the bulls took on an historic winning formation, to release THE BAT OUT OF HELL.
And with that, Donald Trump, has FIRST bragging rights, as President Of  The United States of America.

Dolar Amerika. Bernama. Love You Forever

Is the monster Latin hit, from Colombian Sebastian Yatra, this year

After months of telling the NOT so gullible Malaysian public, that the RINGGIT was going to go up and the US dollar was going to tank, Bernama Did something weird over the weekend.

Bernama said that the US dollar was going to go up and the Ringgit was going to get it .

We love you forever, Bernama, BECAUSE once again, you have got it WRONG .

Market Watch has the story, which once again exposes the Bernama Business desk, as one headed by an INCOMPETENT . Read below :

The dollar edged lower Wednesday, with investors reluctant to drive it higher amid caution about potential jawboning to stem a stronger dollar from Donald Trump and his administration.

The ICE U.S. Dollar Index DXY-0.13%which compares the dollar with six other currencies, was down 0.3%. The WSJ Dollar Index XX:BUXX-0.09% a measure of the U.S. dollar against a broader basket of major currencies, declined 0.1%.

Against its Japanese counterpart, the greenback USDJPY-0.05%  weakened to ¥113.62 compared with ¥113.77 late Tuesday in New York. The euroEURUSD-0.03% improved to $1.0739 from $1.0733 late Tuesday.

Some investors worry that U.S. President Donald Trump’s protectionist approach on trade could hurt economic growth, as he kicked off his presidency this week by signing an executive order pulling the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Trump. Thriller.

Is the 1983 hit single from the world's best selling album of the same name, by the king of pop himself, Michael Jackson.

America's big man, Donald Trump scores big time, as the Dow Jones trades past the 20,000 point level for the first time in history.

It's a THRILLER indeed for the Dow Jones and the big man from America today, with the BBC providing the story. Read Below :

The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded above 20,000 for the first time at the start of trading on Wednesday.

US share prices have been boosted by hopes that the economic policies of the new US President Donald Trump will boost his country's economy.

The index of leading US shares rallied after Mr Trump's election win and was close to breaking 20,000 on 6 January.

It fell back a bit but rose again after Mr Trump's signing of several executive orders since his inauguration.

Shortly after opening, the Dow was up 93.38 points at 20,006.09.

The other two main US share indexes also showed gains. The S&P 500 was 10.09 points higher at 2,290.16, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq was up 36.74 points at 5,637.70.

Fire Rooster. SEVEN years

Is the 2016 massive hit for Danish band Lukas Graham.
"Seven years" achieved around 225 million total listens on Spotify worldwide with 17.2 million listeners per month, making the band the 20th most popular artist on the service.
While many are predicting a year end stock rally in the rooster year, some experts are warning BEWARE of the NUMBER SEVEN.
Why SEVEN, well because as the story goes, the stock market crashed in 1987, the Asian Financial Crisis took place in 1997 and the Great Recession followed soon after in 2007.
Hence what shall take place in this year of SEVEN????

Donald Trump. Dolar And A Dream

Is a hit for rapper J Cole, taken from the album, cole world : the sideline story.

This however is no sideline story, as Donald Trump turns the world up side down, by officially pulling the USA out from the 11 nation trans Pacific partnership accord, of which Malaysia is a member .

Trump's dolar and a dream, is the clearest indication that this guy is going to be a very " difficult" guy to be  managed

1MDB. Jangan Hilangkan Dia

Is the award winning best original soundtrack by Rossa.

Iye, jangan hilangkan dia, sampai semua beres ke akar umbi, seems to be the agenda on the table. Reuters has an interesting story on how Najib Razak is doing a GOOD job managing the economy, but the ghost of 1MDB won't go away.

That ghost is haunting the Ringgit and the economy, so says Reuters. This is their story. Read below :

Since November 2014 the ringgit has slumped by over one-third against the U.S. dollar, three times more than the Philippine peso, Indonesian rupiah, Singaporean dollar and Thai baht. That frustrates Malaysia's middle class, many of whom aspire for the country to become more like Singapore; they complain that even visiting Thailand has become expensive. The currency's slide has become a stick used by the opposition to bash the government.

The ringgit's weakness matters because voters care, and because foreigners own nearly half of Malaysia's government bonds. That's unfortunate because Najib has otherwise done a decent job of putting the economy on a solid footing. The government expects Malaysia could grow as much as 5 percent next year, and the country continues down the path of fiscal consolidation with the recent introduction of a goods and services tax, which is unpopular but has helped reduce the government's dependence on oil revenue.

As a small nation, surrounded by mostly larger, faster-growing neighbours, against a backdrop of rising U.S. rates, Malaysia needs to move on from 1MDB, but governance clearly matters to investors and possibly voters. Najib may have dodged a bullet abroad – but the struggle at home continues.

Ringgit Malaysia. KUN.Bad And Boujee

Is a current top five Us hit for rapper Migos.
Bad and Boujee, means high class... And Ringgit Malaysia, is now at a new high class game.
The currency starts the day, at RM4.44, with exporters, coming to realise that the stock market has come to accept that 4.40 to the US Dollar, as the NEW NORMAL.
No longer are their shares going to rally, unless the Ringgit pass the 4.50 level.
For the past two years, the Chinese businessmen had described the state of Malaysia's economy as KUN or bitter.
Hence, when they have their reunion dinner this Friday, will anything have changed for them to feel OTHERWISE????

Ringgit Malaysia. Dolar Singapura.Teka Teki

Is a current hit for Indonesia's Kotak feautring Anggun.

There is a big TEKA TEKI going on , as to how the Ringgit is going to perform next week.

Bernama says that the Ringgit will fall to 4.48 against the US Dollar, but it doesn't say much on the Ringgit's performance against the Singapore Dollar.

It's just two cents away from a record low against the Singapore dollar. The Ringgit now trades at 3.12 against the Singapore dollar, but the talk is that before you can say gong xi fa CAI, the ringgit to the Singapore dollar will be 3.15

1MDB, Abu Dhabi. G2G. Jho Low. OooUuu

Is a current US top ten hit single for rappers Young M.A and French Montana.

Some people might already be going OooUuu, with signs increasingly pointing towards direct police trouble for Jho Low, as tension between Abu Dhabi and 1MDB threatens to expand into the government to government (G2G) arena.

Reuters has the story. Read below :

Negotiations between government investment funds in Malaysia and Abu Dhabi over billions of dollars in missing funds have broken down, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has reported, quoting people familiar with the matter.

The breakdown in talks will make it harder for the two funds to put the scandal behind them, the business newspaper said last Friday.

"Given the fact that the issue was escalated by Malaysia from a commercial process to a government- to-government interaction that has now floundered, there is a strong possibility that the negative consequences of the issue will live at a government-to-government level," an Abu Dhabi official told the WSJ.

The matter revolves around nearly US$6.5 billion (S$9.2 billion) that Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) and its unit Aabar Investments PJS want to recover from state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Malaysia said it has paid out a big chunk of the debts but IPIC said it hasn't received them.

Malaysia's parliamentary Public Accounts Committee concluded last April after its probe that some US$3.5 billion had disappeared into a company based in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) that has since been closed, called Aabar Investments PJS Ltd. IPIC and Aabar Investments PJS have said they do not own the BVI company.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) in civil suits last July said some US$3.5 billion was siphoned from 1MDB to buy assets including homes in New York and London, expensive art work, a luxury jet and to fund the movie Wolf Of Wall Street by Mr Low Taek Jho

Bursa Malaysia. Call On Me

Is a current UK top five hit for Starley.
Looks like , Malaysia's golden crop is going to be the next big thing on Bursa Malaysia.
This is good news for the likes of MATANG, FELDA GLOBAL and TDM Bhd.
Industry players latest forecast has the call on me factor by plantation stocks to those who are still keen to be invested on Bursa Malaysia.

Reuters has the story. Read below :

Benchmark palm oil prices are currently trading at their highest in more than four years as lingering dry weather effects from an El Nino weather event in 2015 are still cutting into production.

Palm oil closed 1 percent lower at 3,101 ringgit ($698) a tonne on Friday evening.

Construction Stocks. X

Is a current top 40 hit for 21 Savage, taken from the album savage mode.

Bloomberg says, construction stocks in Malaysia, has the X factor. Below is the report :

Construction stocks will provide the biggest opportunity among shares in Malaysia this year, said Ang Kok Heng, chief investment officer at Phillip Capital Management Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur, whose Phillip Master Equity Growth Fund has beaten 94 percent of its peers over the last five years.
He said he favors mid-cap stocks like George Kent Malaysia Bhd., Hock Seng Lee Bhd. and Kimlun Corp. as they have better return potential, especially when they win large contracts relative to their size.

Some 96 billion ringgit ($22 billion) of new and ongoing infrastructure contracts will be awarded over 2017 and 2018, Loong Chee Wei, an analyst at Affin Hwang Investment Bank Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur, wrote in a Jan. 16 note.
Loong maintained an overweight call on Malaysia’s construction sector and his top buys are Gamuda Bhd., Sunway Construction Group Bhd., WCT Holdings Bhd. and Gabungan AQRS Bhd.

Bank Negara Malaysia. Oxford Economics.Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)

Is the monster 2010 hit for the twins Jedward from the album Planet Jedward.

Oxford Economics according to CNBC says that the Ringgit is under pressure, and is worst off, than even the Indonesian Rupiah, making it one of the worst performing currency in emerging markets since the US presidential election concluded.

Read Below :

Oliver Salmon, senior economist at Oxford Economics, told CNBC's "The Rundown" on Thursday that Malaysia was facing pressure on its currency and vulnerability to outflows, especially with high foreign ownership of their government bonds.

But he noted that while Indonesia's rupiah has been relatively stable, Malaysia's ringgit has been one of the worst performing emerging Asia currencies since the U.S. election.

"They've already taken steps to try to shore up the ringgit. For example, they've compelled exporters to convert about 75 percent of proceeds into the ringgit. This should help boost reserves," Salmon said. "We've seen a significant decline in reserves in the last 18 months, but they'll be a lot more cautious in setting policy over the next year as a result of this fear of capital outflows."

He doesn't expect Malaysia's central bank, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), to move on rates until around the end of 2017, when he expects a hike.

"We've got base effects coming out of inflation, higher oil prices and also with the Fed likely to move a couple of times this year, clearly they won't want to see interest rate differentials narrow too much to stoke fears of capital outflows," he said.

Ringgit Malaysia. September Song

Is a current top ten hit for J P Cooper. Sin Chew says today that the Ringgit will trade at RM4.20 by year end, but even then it will be trading above its fair.
What Sin Chew is saying that only around or after September, can we expect the Ringgit to trade at RM4.20 against the Dollar, but why is the Ringgit trading even then above its fair value, the paper does not say.
Anyway, this is Sin Chew's story. Read Below :

- The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) Socio-Economic Research Center executive director Lee Heng Guie predicted that the ringgit would be stronger this year than in 2016.

He also predicted that the ringgit would strengthen from RM4.49 to the greenback at end-2016 to between RM4.20 and RM4.40 this year.

"As a matter of fact, the current ringgit value has failed to reflect its fundamentals, which should be between RM3.80 and RM4.00 to the Dollar.

"However, due to external resistance and negative market sentiment, the local unit has remained undervalued."

He went on to say that ringgit remains vulnerable and its value would be affected by fluctuation in cash flow, the anticipated interest rate hike in the US, Bank Negara's rate policy as well as domestic inflationary pressure.

Still challenging

Lee said in a quarterly economic tracker briefing at ACCCIM on Wednesday that the ringgit suffered 18.6% depreciation in 2015 as a result of the 1MDB scandal and another 4.3% last year due to uncertainties arising from the election of Donald Trump as the US president.

He said the effectiveness of BNM's efforts in boosting ringgit demand, strengthening ringgit in the onshore market and capping the foreign currency retention of export proceeds will only show up during the first half of this year.

"I think the first half of 2017 will remain challenging for the ringgit as the market will be watching Donald Trump's economic policies."

Sheikh Versus Shale. Keliru

Is a massive 2002 hit for Ruth Sahanaya, taken from her greatest hit album.

Looks like the market is confused (KELIRU) on what's going to happen in the battle between the Sheikh versus SHALE .

Expect selling pressure on Reach Energy and Hibiscus today. CNBC has the story, on why this might happen. Read Below :

Oil prices fell to their lowest level in a week on Wednesday on expectations U.S. producers would boost output, while OPEC signaled a drop in the global oil supply surplus this year as the producer group's output fell from a record high.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures settled down $1.40, or 2.7 percent, at $51.08 per barrel.

Brent crude futures, the international benchmark for oil prices, were down $1.51, or 2.7 percent, at $53.96 a barrel at 2:34 p.m. ET (1734 GMT).

U.S. shale production is set to snap a three-month decline in February, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said on Tuesday, as energy firms boost drilling activity with crude prices hovering near 18-month highs.

February production will edge up 40,750 barrels per day (bpd) to 4.748 million bpd, the EIA said. In January, it was expected to drop by 5,900 bpd.

"The petroleum markets have turned lower again in Wednesday trade amid talk that higher oil prices will translate into additional U.S. shale-oil production as a counter-balance to OPEC efforts to trim supply and reduce excess inventories," Tim Evans, Citi Futures' energy futures specialist, said in a note

Ringgit 4.44. Mack

Is a current hit for Nevada, featuring Mark Morrison and Fetty Wap.

Just when you thought, the dollar is dead, from out of the blue, here comes the return of the dollar MACK, thanks to the head of the US Federal Reserve. Read Below :

The US Dollar and Treasury yields rose sharply following comments from Fed Chair Janet Yellen as she weighed the progress made on the FOMC’s dual mandate. In her comments, she echoed sentiments from other Fed members suggesting that the economy is close to full employment and that inflation is progressing towards the bank’s 2 percent goal.

With regards to rate hikes she refrained from providing exact dates, but did note that she and her colleagues did “expect a few rate hikes a year” (presumably setting a pace beyond the current year as well). In traditional Fed fashion she reiterated the importance of economic data in determining the timing of future rate hikes and policy adjustments. In one point of caution, Chair Yellen did note that wage growth was “fairly low” in her opinion.

The rest of this week will feature more commentary from Madame Chair Yellen along with a number of her colleagues. The central bank head gives a speech at Stanford on Thursday at 01:00 GMT. On Friday - the day of the presidential inauguration - Fed’s Harker and Williams will speak in New Jersey and San Francisco, respectively.

Dow Jones. 1957. Shape Of You

Is the current number one record on the UK top 40 from Ed Sheeran.

CNBC has an interesting story on the shape of the Dow Jones for the past one month, which has been transmitting a signal unseen since 1957. Read Below :

If it seems like the stock market's crawl to nowhere over the past month has been particularly strange, that's because it has been. It turns out the gap between the Dow's high and low prices over the past month is a tiny 1.4 percent — the narrowest gap in data going back to 1957.

It was just over a month ago, on Dec. 13, when we saw the Dow Jones industrial average cross 19,900 for the first time. Since then, we've seen an intraday high of 19999.63 and a low of 19719.67. The gap between those two levels is only 1.4 percent. The Dow's entire past month has stayed within that extremely tight range.

To put this in perspective: We usually see a 6 to 7 percent average range in a typical month. In fact, the typical trading day in the past 60 years has seen a 1.5 percent move just on that day alone.

Ringgit Malaysia. New Blue Moon

Is a hit, for the super group, the travelling Wilburys, whoes members at the time of recording include Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and George Harrison.

Ringgit Malaysia, has a new blue moon, which has gone almost unnoticed, but Singapore Straits Times found some time to write about it. Read below :

The Singapore dollar climbed to a new record high against the Malaysian ringgit early Wednesday morning (Jan 18), reaching as high as S$1 to RM3.1474, showed Bloomberg data.

But at 8am, the exchange rate had eased back to S$1 to RM3.1379.

Most Asian currencies rose on Tuesday in a move that traders said was likely driven by position squaring ahead of a series of potentially market-moving events over the next several days.

DBS Senior Currency Strategist Philip Wee told TODAY that the hike in the Singapore dollar against the ringgit on Tuesday spoke more of the strength of the Singapore currency rather than significant weakening in the ringgit.

According to Reuters data, the Singapore dollar gained 0.6 per cent against the US dollar on Tuesday, while the ringgit rose by 0.01 per cent.

Analysts at Citi said they would expect the Singapore dollar to outperform in any bouts of US dollar weakness.

Malaysia must 'move on' from 1MDB saga: Minister

Switzerland: Malaysian Trade Minister Mustapa Mohamed said his country must get beyond the multibillion-dollar 1MDB scandal that has embroiled top figures in the country's political class and caused international embarrassment.

Allegations that huge sums were misappropriated from the state backed 1MDB fund have triggered a scandal which has turned on Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, who has denied any wrongdoing.

Malaysia has been seized since 2015 by the scandal, which has sparked investigations in several countries, including Switzerland, Singapore and the United States.

"We've learned many lessons and we are moving forward," Minister Mustapa told AFP on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

"Essentially we have to move on and we have confidence that a number of issues that came to limelight as a result of 1MDB will at some point be behind us," he said.

The scandal has proven to be an embarrassment to Malaysia and drawn accusations that Malaysia failed in its response to the allegations.

Global investigators from about 10 countries believe that billions of dollars were absconded from 1Malaysia Development Bhd,

Oily Stocks. After The Afterparty

Is a current UK top 40 hit for Holland's Charli XCX, taken from her yet to be untitled third studio album which should be released in May.

About a month ago, this blog highlighted the return of the penny oil and gas stocks on Bursa Malaysia.

Stocks such as Sumatec, and Hibiscus are poised to do well even today, on the back of  a weak US dollar, which is helping boost crude oil prices.

Nonetheless, experts are already warning, that after the after partfor the oil and gas sector is over, it might all end so badly.

The scrooge for crude oil is that the US dollar might start rise sooner rather than latter and that the US will pump record levels of shale oil .

For now though, enjoy Hibiscus and Sumatec...

Ringgit Malaysia. The A Team

Is the 2013, monster hit which earned Ed Sheeran a Grammy for song of the year.

Looks like Ringgit Malaysia, has found its A Team, in Donald Trump. The US President to be, sent the dollar crashing after it said that Uncle Sam's currency was too strong.

That firmed up the Ringgit overnight, to 4.46 against the Dollar.

Matang. Trinity. Missing. Scars To Your Beautiful

Is a 2017 top ten hit in the USA for Alessia Cara, taken from the album know it all.

For those traders who have seen it all, and know it all, Matang's debut on Bursa Malaysia, was dissapointing, having seen lesser companies do much better on their debut.

The scars to your beautiful, is there for all to see, with Bursa Malaysia, suffering a trinity of declines, have seen retailers go missing in action , in a very big way from the market.

The interest on Matang, just wasn't there as the excitement from the retailers seems to have gone  MISSING.

Bursa Malaysia and the securities commission must shoulder some blame for this, for coming down too hard on market making, without providing a legal alternative.

Mudajaya. Bad Things

Is a current top ten hit for Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello.

Mudajaya share price should be bracing for bad things, after the company told the stock exchange just now, it's claim amounting to RM75.32 million from CMC Machinery SDN Bhd has been thrown out.

As a result, this will have a RM98.35 million negative effect on the company's earnings.

Things could get a lot more worse for Mudajaya because CMC is also claiming RM61 million from Mudajaya.

Mudajaya was last traded at 86.5 Sen.

Matang. Tuesday.

Is a current top ten house music hit for Burak Yeter.

Tuesday is today, the day in which the MCA backed Matang Holdings Bhd, finally makes its debut on Bursa Malaysia.

Talk in town is MCA via it's investment arm shall be buying from the open market to consolidate its position in Matang.

There is no doubt, this stock is RED hot, and it should give life to other smaller plantation companies such as TDM.

The spot light though will be on Matang. If MCA's Matang can deliver, do expect UMNO's Felda, not to be that far behind.

After all, 2017 is said to be an election year, and MCA, will certainly not allow, whats left of its support amongst the Chinese community to face a sour Chinese New Year .

For that reason alone, Matang can be expected to run for the whole week, with the cash out coming on Friday, as investors might take out some money for the New Year.

Hibiscus. Bonfire

Is a current top ten hit in Russia for Felix Jaehn featuring ALMA.

There is a bonfire going on in Hibiscus , and talk in the market place is that this man made bonfire, has its roots in Cimb and a guy called Yeoh.

Talk is Hibiscus is going to be a 60 sen a share stock because the company will within weeks announce that it's quarter on quarter profits are up by some 20 per cent.

Hibiscus was last traded at the 45 Sen a share level. On a short term basis, Hibiscus has the legs to run, but can it sustain its price after that?

Ringgit Malaysia. Rupiah Indonesia. Castle On The Hill

Is a current top five UK hit for Ed Sheeran.

With the US Dollar looking like it's poised to tumble, unless Donald Trump get his act together, rest assured that Bernama shall be build a castle on the hill, on how fundementals are bringing the Ringgit back from the dead.

Any such talk for the Ringgit which yesterday traded at RM4.47 against the US Dollar is hogwash.

Just look at how the Ringgit is trading against the Indonesian Rupiah, will give you a better picture of the true strength or weakness of the Ringgit.

At last count, RM1000 is equivalent to 2.985 million Rupiah. This is the weakest level for the Ringgit in the current CENTURY.

Felda Global. Shed A Light

Is a 2017 monster hit for the Star studded trio made up of Robin Schulz, David Guetta and Cheat Codes.

Felda should shed a light on what is really happening in Felda Global. Yesterday, Felda Global denied to Bursa Malaysia, on any possible privatisation exercise. Felda Global told the exchange, that it has not received any proposal from any of its shareholders.
Also on the same day, Felda, who is the major shareholder of Felda Global said no decision has been made to take Felda Global private, But it's studying all possibilities.
Can Bursa Malaysia now please, stop making the public look like fools and instruct Felda Global to ask it's shareholders if it is looking at possibility of taking the company private.
The answer is so obvious. This stock is ready to FLY

Ringgit. Capital Control. Bangkok Post. Rage Hard

Is the 1987 hit for Frankie Goes To Hollywood , taken from the album Liverpool.

Bangkok Post in a Rage Hard article today says that Malaysia is Fucked, and that there is little buffer left for the Ringgit, and with that, a RM5 for a dollar exchange rate, and the reintroduction of capital control.

The Ringgit was last traded at RM4.47 to the US Dollar.

Oil Stocks. Bursa Malaysia. Opec. Stolen Dance

Is a massive 2016 hit for Milky Chance from the album sadnecessary .

If you are holding high beta oil and gas stocks on Bursa Malaysia, you could end up being sadnecessary, after OPEC said, that some of its members could have stolen a dance or two when it comes to output cuts.

Reuters has the story. Read below :

Oil prices fell today as doubts emerged that crude production cuts would curb a global surplus of fuel supply.

The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) revealed in November it would aim to cut production by 1.2m barrels a day from the first of the year, but today delegates told Reuters it is unlikely to deliver its full target.

Opec aims to cut production to remove the global oversupply and prop up low prices that are hurting the revenue of exporting nations.

Brent crude futures, the international benchmark for oil prices, was trading at $55.87 per barrel earlier this morning, down 14 cents from the last close, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was down nine cents to $52.92 per barrel.

Opec said compliance of 80 per cent would be good and as low as 50 to 60 per cent is acceptable.

Magna Prima. Coming Home

Is a massive hit last year for Rita Ora and Sigma. The song hit the top ten on both sides of the Atlantic.

Magna Prima was last traded at RM1 .52, and it looks like finally, the stock is seen to be ready to be COMING HOME to the RM1.80 level.

Felda Global. Rise

Is the 2005 hit for Katy Perry. With just a couple of days left before  the MCA backed planter Matang Bhd, gets listed on Bursa Malaysia, all eyes will be on Felda Global.

Can Felda Global RISE to the occasion, in view of the Matang listing.

It will be very odd indeed to see Felda, which was last traded at RM1.73, trade southwards, when expectations are Matang is going to be pure fire works.

SYF Resources. Don't Stop The Music

Is the 2007 global hit for Barbadian singer Rihanna.

SYF closed at 63 sen a share yesterday, and it seems the buying momentum seems to be saying , don't stop the music.

Talk in town is that the momentum has a lot to do with MARA taking a stake in SYF from the open market.

CIMB . Westports. Don't Know Why

Is the 1999 hit single from Norah Jones.

CIMB today came out with a report on Westports Holdings Bhd, and I don't know why, they place the stock as a HOLD with a target price of RM4 a share, when it's trading at RM4.28 a share.

CIMB , should call Westports, for what it is, an outright SELL

Shiekh Versus Shale. I'm Gonna Show You Crazy

Is a current hit, for the one and only Bebe Rexha, taken from the album, I don't want to grow up.

For those of us, who don't want to grow up, we shall use, Brent Crude Oil at US$56 a barrel, as an excuse to go and punt on oil and gas stocks on Bursa Malaysia.

We shall IGNORE, data coming out from the USA, where shale oil producers, are on the verge of telling those oil rich Arabian Shiekhs : I'm gonna show you crazy.

And how are they going to do that? By ramping up production to take advantage of the higher oil prices.

Here is the latest, US oil production data, and consider yourself WARNED. Read Below :

The Energy Information Administration reported Wednesday that domestic crude-oil supplies rose by 4.1 million barrels for the week ended Jan. 6. That was more than twice the 1.5 million-barrel reported by the American Petroleum Institute late Tuesday and the 1.75 million-barrel increase expected by analysts polled by S&P Global Platts forecast.

BERSATU. China. Aku Hanya Pendatang

Is the second studio album from Francisca Peter.

Syabas China, Your Embassy In Malaysia, has placed Najib Razak, in a very awkward position among the core Malay voters.

Being a country that aspires to be a superpower, you have either read the tea leafs wrongly, or you have very smartly done in your own friend, on the pretext of helping him.

KAMU ini cuma pendatang, yang tiada sebarang hak membuat komentar bersifat politik dalaman, Malaysia, seperti berikut :

The China Embassy in Kuala Lumpur pointed out, some people, repeatedly emphasised the good  sino Dino Malaysian ties, and China's investment in Malaysia, when they are in power, but latter instigated hatred against China after losing power.

"Where is their integrity...How can they win the respect of the international community and trust of MALAYSiAN Chinese.

This is an apparent rebuttal to allegations made by former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin, THAT China investors will break the rice bowls of locals.

Dear China, stay the FUCK OUT of MALAYSiAN politics. For your information, Bersatu Is fighting for the trust of the Malay voters, as it's partner DAP has the trust of the Chinese voters...And your comments now will only help convince the Malay voters, that Muhyiddin Yassin has hit the Bull's EYE.

1MDB. Another One Bites The Dust

Is the massive hit for Queen taken from the album the game .

In the 1MDB game, another one bites the dust today. Hong Kong's South China Morning Post has the story. Read below :

A Swiss banker was jailed for seven months in Singapore on Wednesday for money laundering and other offences related to a corruption scandal involving neighbouring Malaysia’s state fund 1MDB.

Jens Fred Sturzenegger, 42, who headed the Singapore branch of Swiss lender Falcon Private Bank, was also fined S$128,000 (US$89,000) after he pleaded guilty at a district court, making him the first foreigner linked to the scandal convicted in Singapore.

Three Singaporean private bankers from another Swiss lender, BSI, were jailed last year in relation to the affair.

Among them was Yeo Jiawei, who was sentenced to 30 months in prison for witness tampering and obstructing the 1MDB probe. Other money laundering charges are set for an April trial.

It was revealed during Yeo’s trial that he worked closely with Malaysian financier Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low

Orion IXL. Love On Me

Is a hit for Galantis this year. Something seems to be happening at Orion IXL, over the last couple of days, the stock has pushed up from 17 sen 22.5 sen a share.
It's love on me, for Orion, and it seems to have just started.

Muhibbah Engineering. Everybody Loves A Winner

Is the 1967 top 20 hit in the USA for William Bell.

Everybody Loves A Winner, and as such cimb research says look out for Muhibbah Engineering, with a RM2.86 target price.

The research house says, that there is more catayst coming Muhibbah's WAY. The stock yesterday, stood at RM2.35

Felda Global. Syed Mokthar. Holding Out For A Hero

Is the massive hit for Bonnie Tyler, taken from the movie soundtrack footloose.

Syed Mokthar Al Bukhary, looks to be the man in focus as Felda Global is Holding Out For A Hero.

The Star newspaper says a privatisation of Felda might be on. A RM3.50 to RM4 a share privatisation, looks to be fair value for Felda
