Japan. Cunami

Is a 2014 hit for Russian singer Nyusha. Bloomberg has the story. Read Below:

Japan issued its biggest tsunami warnings since 2011 after a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Fukushima, home to the nuclear power plant crippled in the March 2011 triple disaster.

The temblor, an aftershock of the magnitude 9.1 quake five years ago, briefly knocked offline a cooling system for spent nuclear fuel at the Fukushima plant.

It struck at 5:59 a.m. local time Tuesday at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), according to the Japan Meteorological Agency, causing a tsunami of more than 1 meter on the coast of Miyagi prefecture and smaller waves elsewhere. A warningwas given for a tsunami of 3 meters (10 feet) for the coast of Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures.

Local authorities and public broadcaster NHK urged residents to remember the experience of five years ago and flee to higher ground and evacuations orders were issued. A similar-sized quake struck the region two days before the March 2011 disaster that killed about 18,000 people.

Five people have been reported injured, mostly in northeastern Japan, according to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency. Some bullet train services were suspended and Sendai Airport was evacuated, but Tokyo Motor Corp. plants in the region were operating as normal.
