Malaysia, on the brink of living very dangerously.

THE New Straits Times,  editorial team especially  on the economic side, should take a good hard look at themselves over the article it put out last week stating READ : Little impact from western countries over Malaysia's firm stance on Palestine

THE article concerned, discuss the possibility of American and EU sanctions on Malaysia over Its stance on Hamas

MY personal  opinion on the whole issue cn be found in  READ : anak kera di hutan disusui, anak sendiri di rumah kebuluran.

NOW coming back to the NST article, which opines as follows ;
"Malaysia's largest trading partner in imports and exports is China, not the US, the UK or the EU. China does not classify Hamas as a terrorist group.
In fact, China remains a crucial component of our economy. Malaysia's exports to China were about US$47.9 billion in 2021. China exported US$70.7 billion to our country the same year,"

LET me remind the entire NST Editorial Board, that the USA  READ : invested US58.53 billion into Malaysia in 2022, creating 140,000 job prospects

BASED on current exchange rates that is about RM278 billion or to put it into perspective that even a nut case will be able to understand,  the amount is EQUIVALENT to READ : some 70 pet cent in cash terms to the 2024 national budget of RM393 billion

WHY is this conversation  important today? Well because, many chat forums in the country are buring with a new found  concern, best described in the Low Yat Forum. READ if economic sanctions hit us, our economy will tank, thousands will likely lose their jobs in particular those from US companies, inflation will skyrocket . It will be a dark period for the country
