THE Finance Minister is now being watched and observed at close range if he has any financial sence or if this restricted opening of Malaysia's 5G market was merely done to appease China, ahead of a before June 2023 return of Jho Low to Malaysian shores.
HAVING, a second 5G network provider should in theory not make much of a difference but in this case, it really does make a difference because unlike the soon to be named second 5G provider, which will most likely be a telco, Digital Nasional Bhd is not a telco.
EVENTUALLY, Digital Nasional Bhd will die and then what? We will still be stranded with a mere single 5G provider standing over our heads.
DOES this in anyway benefit Malaysia? HELL NO, but if Anwar Ibrahim has any financial sence in him, then he can turn this into an advantage for Malaysia.
FREE the mind, for the HOW to follow. Move away from the mindset of merely having a second 5G service provider.
INSTEAD, completely open up the market by calling for a GLOBAL auction of a minimum three operating licence, and let the telcos or anyonelse who is interested in building a 5G network here decide if they wish to form a partnership or bid as a standalone.
HOW will this benefit Malaysia? Well for one, the government, can fill its pockets with billions of ringgit from such an auction.
ALSO it will free Malaysia, from being accused of pandering to China and its 5G nominee Huawei, a company marked for destruction by the United States of America.
WISEMEN do exist in this Unity Government. Amanah President Mohd Sabu, some years ago, slam dunked it brilliantly ; — “When elephant fight, the grass will suffer"
