SHOPEE 's Dangerous Politics : UNION SUNDOWN!

by Bob Dylan, from the 1983 Infields studio album , produced by  Dire Straits Mark Knopfler with a little help from Mick Taylor, the former lead guitarist of the Rolling Stones .

Well, my shoes, they come from Singapore
My flashlight's from Taiwan
My tablecloth's from Malaysia
My belt buckle's from the Amazon
You know, this shirt I wear comes from the Philippines
And the car I drive is a Chevrolet
It was put together down in Argentina
By a guy making thirty cents a day
Sure was a good idea
'Til greed got in the way

It must be greed, as the converse points to South East Asia's most valuable  firm SEA Ltd, having a disdain  for freedom and NO LOVE for democracy

Pony Ma's TenCent Holding Ltd', which has a sizeable stake in the Singapore based SEA Ltd, has gotten rich because of merchants and consumers here who backed the firm's jewel in the crown SHOPEE.

Over the past 40 months, SEA Ltd shares have grown by more than 1000 per cent,  but with that, it  has begun showing off its ugly fangs by arm twisting small Malaysian merchants, already TRAUMATISED the tilt by Covid 19.

Malaysians know what it feels like to be lorded by people we did not choose to gover, so let's  not allow this KIASU entity to oppress  our business or dictate to us who we are allowed to do business with.
